Jalapeno

Anyone ever tried jalapeno tequila? Apparently it's the "it" thing in Santa Monica/Venice Beach, California, because my sister keeps raving about these amazing jalapeno margaritas. I'm intrigued... I'm sort of a wimp when it comes to spicy things but this spicy margarita has me thirtsy! Anyone else tried this?

Yes! and it is so delicious and spicy in margaritas!

There's also a place in Austin that has jalapeno-infused vodka specifically for bloody mary's and they are delicious as well.

Ooooh, I love spicy things so this is right up my alley. Sometimes I mix a little cayenne pepper into my cocktails to give them a little kick. I'll have to try this! I bet it would be awesome in a margarita.

i've even had habanero tequila and it wasn't all that spicy. i would definitely recommend it. they make great ones at cactus!

adding to amy anne's note, there's an upscale indian restaurant here, too, that makes chile-mango infused vodka — fantastic as a champagne floater.
truly delicious, and the bubbles carry a little zing to your nose!

Have not tried it but we put habaneros in our tequila to give it the spicy flavor but sometimes it's overpowering - I'll have to try this

Ooo speaking of jalapeno - my FAVORITE new drink is Absolut Mango with jalapeno simple syrup. You make a batch on the stove, and the mango combination is out of this world!
